Model 960 Knife Gate Valve

Model 960 is a square / rectangular valve that incorporates some of the key design features of knife gate valves into conventional material isolation valve design. Conventional fabricated isolation gates are susceptible to jamming and high operating force requirements. By adopting the features of standard knife gate design such as single-sided seating, welded-on jams and the bevelled gate edge, this fabricated design results in a material isolation valve that is easy to operate even in larger sizes.

Model 960, being designed specifically for dry material isolation duties, features a fabricated body with custom sizes and flange drilling. As these applications do not involve pressures except for the static head of the material column on the valve gate, these valves are not designed to hold pressures and are not tested for seat leakage.
