FIG980/985
FIG 980 is the bonneted version of the FIG 950 uni-directional knife gate
valve. It features a cast or fabricated body with mounting flange and a cast
or fabricated bolt-on bonnet. The sealing to atmosphere is achieved using a
round gland sealing arrangement on the top of the bonnet. This assures very
tight sealing that is normally not feasible on standard knife gate valves with a
large rectangular packing. A standard superstructure mounted above the
bonnet with a rising stem hand wheel is generally used. Adaptations
for non-rising stem, enclosed gear hand wheel, extensions etc. are also
available. Valves are offered in ductile iron or stainless steel body
construction with bonnets in the same material and CWP rating as
standard.
