Deflection cones

Uni-directional knife gate valves have a raised seat that faces the flow when the valve is open. This can cause erosive damage of the seat when highly erosive media such as mining slurries are being handled. To provide protection to the seat in such situations, deflection cones are generally used. VAAS offers this accessory in two material options- cast ni-hard or polyurethane to suit various application requirements.

Extensions & Floorstands

Extension handwheel of different designs (with or without) floorstands are available with all VAAS valves when operation from an elevated location is required.

Chainwheel

Chainwheel and chain drive options are available for all valves

Locking Device

VAAS provides a simple and effective locking device consisting of a removable locking pin and specially made yoke superstructure. The design provides for open or closed position lockout and the locking pin also has provision to accept a padlock.

Fail-safe capacity tank systems

VAAS pneumatic cylinder actuators are double-acting cylinders and as such does not provide fail-open/fail-closed functionality when desired in some critical applications. For such services, capacity tank fail-safe systems can be provided to achieve this feature
