VAAS - Valves with a Leading Edge

The classic bonnetless design of knife gate valves is sufficient for most applications. However, there are some application situations where a totally enclosed gate is required. Typical applications are buried services and handling of media where very high gland tightness is called for.

VAAS offers the Series 980 Bonnetted valves with a cast or fabricated bonnet for such services. The basic valve is Series 940 or 950 with modified body to accept the bolt-on the bonnet. Bonnet pressure ratings are generally same as valve rating; however these can be lower, where sufficient, for lower costs

Applications requiring  minimal leakage to atmosphere;vacuum services; buried services.
